Coronavirus: Of 453 New Cases, 297 Linked to Adjara, 78 to Tbilisi

Marina Endeladze, representative of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, has clarified details of the sources of 453 new coronavirus cases detected in Georgia today.

She stated that of 453 new cases reported in Georgia on October 2, 279 are linked to the Adjara region, 78 to Tbilisi, and 52 to Imereti.

Based on the regions, the new cases are distributed as follows:

Adjara 297
Tbilisi  78
Imereti 52
Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti 6
Guria 6
Shidan Kartli 6
Kvemo Kartli 2
Kakheti 3
Mtskheta-Mtianeti 2
Samtskhe-Javakheti 1

Based on the data of October 2, 453 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia and the total number of confirmed cases increased to 7093.

The number of recovered patients increased by 295 to reach 3714.

Earlier in the morning, 2 coronavirus-related deaths were reported, however, the virus has claimed the lives of 3 more patients since then and the death toll has increased to 46.
