Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 471 New Cases, 278 Recoveries, 2 Deaths
As of October 3, 471 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 7564.
The head of the department at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Marina Endeladze, told reporters that of 471 new cases, 360 are related to the Adjara region and 57 to Tbilisi.
"Adjara is still the leader, we have 360 cases there, in Tbilisi 57, in Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti 22, in Imereti 11, in Kvemo Kartli 6, in Kakheti 6, in Guria 5, in Mtskheta-Mtianeti 3, in Samtskhe-Javakheti 1," Endeladze said.
She noted that at this point 35 patients are in critical condition, of which 33 are on artificial respiration.
The number of recovered patients increased by 278 to reach 3992.
Coronavirus has claimed the lives of 2 more patients in the last 24 hours and the death toll has increased to 48.
Currently, there are 3524 active cases in the country.
