Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 578 New Cases, 375 Recoveries, 2 Deaths
As of October 5, 578 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 8696.
Of 578 newly detected cases, 416 were reported in Adjara and 72 in Tbilisi.
Based on the regions, these new cases are distributed as follows:

There are 45 critically ill patients infected with coronavirus in the country, 43 of whom are on artificial respiration.
The number of recovered patients increased by 375 to reach 4619.
Coronavirus claimed the lives of two more patients in the last 24 hours, and the death toll has increased to 52. Both cases of death are linked to Batumi, the capital of Adjara.
Marina Endeladze, Head of the Boxed Department of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters that both patients were over 80 years old and had concomitant diseases along with COVID-19.
5392 people are in a mandatory quarantine, 836 under examination in hospitals, and 1100 are in COVID Hotels throughout the country.
Currently, there are 4025 active cases of coronavirus in Georgia.
