Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 527 New Cases, 313 Recoveries, 6 Deaths

As of October 9, 527 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected persons to 10752, government-run website stopcov.ge reports. 

The majority of the cases were recorded in Georgia’s Adjara region and in Tbilisi, the capital. 

The cases were recorded in:

  • Adjara region - 190 cases 
  • Tbilisi - 179 cases 
  • Imereti - 91 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 28 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 10 cases 
  • Kakheti - 11 cases 
  • Mtskheta Mtianeti - 3 cases 
  • Guria - 3 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 1 case

The number of recovered patients increased by 313 and reached 5553.

5574  citizens are in mandatory quarantine and 836 under examination in hospitals. 1338 people are placed in COVID hotels throughout the country. 

Coronavirus claimed the lives of 6 more patients in 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 72.
