Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 478 New Cases, 211 Recoveries, 6 Deaths

As of October 12, 478 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 12 272.

Based on the regions, these new cases are distributed as follows: 

Adjara 196 

Tbilisi 178

Imereti 65

Guria 1

Mtskheta-Mtianeti 4

Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti 13

Kvemo Kartli 15

Shida Kartli 6.

50 patients are critically ill and on artificial respiration in the country, 8 of them are transferred from the occupied territories of Abkhazia.

The number of recovered patients increased by 211 and reached 6538.

5590 citizens are in mandatory quarantine and 836 under examination in hospitals. 1393 people are placed in COVID hotels throughout the country. 

Coronavirus claimed the lives of 6 more patients in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 91. of 6 deceased patients, 3 died in Adjara, 1 in Sachkhere and 2 in Tbilisi. 

Currently, there are 5643 active cases of coronavirus in Georgia.
