Kindergartens Open in Georgia

Kindergartens opened today throughout Georgia except in the Adjara region and Ozurgeti municipality, where they remain closed due to harsh epidemiological situations.

Head of Tbilisi's Kindergarten Management Agency, Kakhaber Gvantseladze, today said: “I would like to congratulate all children this day and wish them a successful school year. By order of the Minister of Health, numerous regulations have been introduced in our kindergartens to ensure a completely safe environment for our children”.

The government has developed recommendations regarding restrictions in kindergartens in order to prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19. A protocol for washing dishes and toys has been set up, and it will be forbidden to use toys that are difficult to disinfect. It is also forbidden to bring toys from home.

A room for isolation should be allocated in buildings in case a pupil's or employee's temperature rises during the day.

As of October 12, 478 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia, bringing the total number to 12 272, the government-run special website stopcov.ge reports. Reklama: Provitra stiklo konstrukcijos - pertvaros, turÄ—klai, laiptai, durys, stogai, terasos
