TIME Journal Ranks Georgian Hippo Among Top Images

American daily journal TIME is a multimedia brand journal which publishes an unranked list of their top 100 images of the year. The collage shows some of the most amazing and weird photos from around the globe. Among these special photo-collages is Beglar the hippo, who escaped from the Tbilisi Zoo and went for a walk on the city streets after the flooding on June 13th.

“A runaway hippo on the loose in the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia. June, 14 2015. Portions of the Tbilisi's zoo were destroyed, due to severe flooding in the capital, allowing many animals - including six tigers, six lions and eight bears - to break free of their enclosures and roam the streets.” TIME reported.

Beglar the hippo became a positive symbol after the disaster in Tbilisi.
