Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 1186 New Cases, 238 Recoveries, 7 Deaths
As of October 19, 1186 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 18663.
Marina Endeladze, Head of the Boxed Department of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, stated that based on October 19 statistics, most cases of coronavirus (40%) were detected in Tbilisi.
Adjara region comes second in the number of cases.
Based on the regions, these new cases are distributed as follows:
Tbilisi 469, Adjara 360, Imereti-Zemo Svaneti 99, Kvemo Kartli 78, Shida Kartli 15, Samegrelo 73, Kakheti 46, Guria 25, Mtskheta-Mtianeti 14, Samtskhe-Javakheti 7.
Endeladze added that she cannot name the exact number of critically ill patients, however, "It is less than one hundred, probably about 70."
The number of recovered patients increased by 238 and reached 8338.
7 more people have died of the virus in the country, bringing the death toll to 143.
Currently, there are 10,182 active cases in the country.
