Georgia Reports 1759 New Cases of Coronavirus, 350 Recoveries, 5 Deaths
As of October 23, 1759 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 24,562.
Of the newly detected cases, 686 were reported in Tbilisi, 487 in Adjara, and 356 in Imereti.
The condition of 397 patients infected with COVID-19 is poor.
"We have 487 new cases in Adjara, 356 in Imereti, 36 in Kvemo Kartli, 35 in Shida Kartli, 17 in Guria, 69 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 24 in Kakheti, 12 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 30 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 7 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, and 686 in Tbilisi," stated Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Chief of Operations at the Interagency Coordination Council.
The number of recovered patients has increased by 350 and reached 9751.
5 patients died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 183.
Currently, there are 14,628 active cases in the country.
