Coronavirus: Georgia Records 1673 New Cases, 2881 Recoveries, 22 Deaths
As of October 31, 1673 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 38,936.
Natia Mezvrishvili, head of the Georgian governmental administration, spoke about the latest statistics on coronavirus and the measures taken by the government in the last 24 hours at a briefing.
"1673 newly confirmed cases of infection were identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 38,936.
"As I mentioned at yesterday's briefing, we had optimistic expectations in terms of the growth of the number of recovered people, and we maintain a positive dynamic today. In particular, 2881 people recovered in the last 24 hours and the total number of recovered people increased to 22,691.
"Unfortunately, we also had deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 22 people died, 10 of them died in Tbilisi, 7 in Adjara, 4 in Imereti and 1 in Samtskhe-Javakheti. We have a total of 307 deaths since February 26, 2020”, she said.
One of the deceased patients infected with coronavirus was a 15-year-old teenager who was in critical condition and put on artificial respiration.
Currently, there are 15938 active cases in Georgia.
