Clashes Occur Between Activists of UNM, Georgian Dream

The physical confrontation is taking place near the 179th polling station in the Gldani district of Tbilisi between several dozens of activists of the opposition United National Movement and the ruling Georgian Dream parties. 

Law enforcers are present at the polling station. Activists are also confronting the police. 

The law enforcers have recently removed several people from the area.

The head of the patrol police Vazha Siradze stated that 5 people have been detained following the confrontation in Gldani.

As Siradze told journalists, they are detained under the Code of Administrative Offenses, specifically, for disobeying the request of the police and petty hooliganism.

He noted that the police will react strictly to all specific incidents.
