Georgian PM Moved to Self-isolation
The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia has been moved to self-isolation. As the Prime Minister writes on the social network, his employee, with whom he had communication, was diagnosed with coronavirus during targeted selective testing.
"The 2020 parliamentary elections in Georgia were held in a competitive environment, where all fundamental rights were protected - this is the assessment of international observation missions.
"Thank you to each and every one of them for their commitment to the democracy of Georgia, for coming to Georgia even against the background of the global pandemic and supporting our country in the process of progress.
"As we have always said, even in these difficult conditions, Georgia has been able to hold free, open and competitive elections. Some shortcomings are correctable and we need to work on them. It is this aspiration that brings us closer to building a European state.
"Thank you again to our citizens for their activism. Thanks to our supporters, whose abundance gives us even more incentive to move forward together.
"Unfortunately, I now have to work in a different mode because my co-worker, with whom I had a long communication yesterday, was diagnosed with coronavirus during targeted selective testing. Therefore, I have moved to self-isolation and I will continue to work in this mode, " the Prime Minister wrote.
