Saakashvili: I Also Had Coronavirus, People Shouldn't Be Afraid of Joining Rallies
Former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili says he had coronavirus infection, however, he was asymptomatic and found about the infection after taking an antibody test.
In his interview with TV Pirveli, the ex-president stated that the main thing at the rally scheduled for November 8 is the consolidation and unity of the society and the citizens should not be afraid of anything, including the virus.
He added that "Many people around him have already had the virus," which is "Not deadly at all."
"There is nothing to be afraid of, there are diseases, there are some things, I had this virus myself a few weeks ago, and I almost couldn't feel it. I defeated it more easily than the light flu. A lot of people say that. Of course, we have to be careful, wash hands and wear face masks. The virus is not deadly, the loss of the state is really deadly," Mikheil Saakashvili said.
For the record, opposition parties and supporters plan a mass protest rally outside the Parliament in Tbilisi on November 8 to express their distrust in election results and demand its annulment.
