Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 2775 New Cases, with 1044 in Tbilisi

As of November 6, 2775 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 51,993, Alexandre Khojevanishvili, representative of the Interagency Coordination Council, stated at a briefing at the Government Administration.

At the same time, the country recorded 3560 recoveries and 22 deaths in the previous 24 hours.

Khojevanishvili spoke about the latest statistics on coronavirus and the measures taken by the government.

“We still maintain positive dynamics in terms of the growth of recovering people. In particular, 3560 people recovered in the last 24 hours, and the total number of recoveries increased to 37,019.

"Unfortunately, 22 people died in the last 24 hours, including 8 in Tbilisi, 6 in Adjara, 7 in Imereti and 1 in Kvemo Kartli. Since February 26, 2020, we have a total of 423 deaths,” said Alexandre Khojevanishvili.

Of 2775 cases detected [Friday], 1044 cases were detected in Tbilisi, 503 in Adjara, 526 in Imereti, 207 in Kvemo Kartli, 177 in Shida Kartli, 89 in Guria, 117 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 36 in Kakheti, 43 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 25 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 8 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

Currently, there are 14,551 active cases in the country.
