Batumi Named Europe's Fastest Growing Tourist Destination for Second Time

Georgia's seaside city of Batumi, the capital of the Adjara region, has retained the World Travel Award and has been named the fastest-growing tourist destination in Europe for the second time.

"It is gratifying that despite the pandemic, our city was still able to win the prestigious tourism award. Congratulations to all!", said the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara. 

Mtirala National Park, a protected area in the Adjara region, also received the World Travel Awards this year.
