Georgia Reports 2859 New Cases of Coronavirus
As of November 7, 2859 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected people to 54852.
At the same time, the country recorded 2754 recoveries and 18 deaths in the previous 24 hours.
Alexander Khojevanishvili, Head of the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council, stated that of 2859 cases registered today, 1197 were reported in Tbilisi.
"Of 2859 cases detected today, 1197 cases were detected in Tbilisi, 620 in Adjara, 438 in Imereti, 109 in Kvemo Kartli, 62 in Shida Kartli, 63 in Guria, 138 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 94 in Kakheti, 38 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 72 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 28 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti," he said.
Khojevanishvili added that 7 out of 18 people who died in the last 24 hours were being treated in Tbilisi.
"Unfortunately, 18 people died in the last 24 hours, including 7 people in Tbilisi, 4 in Adjara, 4 in Imereti, 2 in Kvemo Kartli, and 1 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti," he said.
There are 345 patients on artificial respiration in the country.
Currently, there are 14638 active cases in Georgia.
