Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 2927 New Cases, 24 Deaths
As of November 9, 2927 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of local cases of coronavirus since February to 60,680.
Alexandre Khojevanishvili, a representative of the Interagency Coordination Council, spoke about the latest statistics on coronavirus and the measures taken by the government in the last 24 hours at a briefing at the Government Administration.
“We still maintain positive dynamics in terms of the growth of recovering people. In particular, 2470 people recovered in the last 24 hours, and the total number of recovered people increasing to 45,042.
"Unfortunately, 24 people died in the last 24 hours, including 13 in Tbilisi,” he said.
The Press Service of the Georgian Government has named the locations where 2927 new coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours.
The locations are as follows:
- Tbilisi – 1 033
- Adjara – 411
- Imereti – 782
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 150
- Kakheti – 133
- Kvemo Kartli – 130
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 79
- Shida Kartli – 74
- Samtskhe-Javakheti – 59
- Guria – 53
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 23
As of today, Georgia has 15,113 active coronavirus cases. In total, 645 coronavirus patients are in a serious state; of those, 393 have been put on artificial ventilation.
Currently, 4780 persons are under medical observation, 2982 people under quarantine and 2879 more at COVID-Hotels.
