Coca-Cola’s 100th-Year Holiday Ad: The Best Present is Your Presence

Coca-Cola has released its 100th Holiday Ad. For 100 years now, the brand has been creating a festive mood for millions of people through its advertising.

Coca-Cola’s 100th-Year Holiday Ad proves the best present is your presence.

The global campaign, titled The Letter, urges audiences to “give something only you can give - yourself” this Christmas. The video, created by Wieden + Kennedy London and directed by Taika Waititi, sees a girl handing her father a note to be delivered to Santa, before leaving for work.

The little girl's father goes through a lot of obstacles to deliver her letter to Santa personally. However, nothing comes out until he finds the most interesting detail in the letter itself: the father finally opens his daughter’s letter, which reads, “Dear Santa, please bring daddy home for Christmas," prompting the pair to reunite.

"This Christmas, give something only you can give. Be it in person, over an awkward video call, or just a quick message, making time for the ones you love is what makes Christmas truly the most special time of year, no matter how you do it," this is the Brand's main message for the festive season.

“This year, the Christmas season is set to be more meaningful than ever before. As a company, Coca-Cola has been celebrating the festive season through our advertising since the 1920s, featuring uplifting messages of unity and joy,” said Coca-Cola GB marketing director Kris Robbens.
