Police Arrest Six Sri Lanka Citizens for Illegal Presence in Georgia

Georgian police have detained six citizens of Sri Lanka for illegally being in Georgia.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that they were detained in the village of Kartsakhi.

According to a statement from the MIA, the detainees had no travel or ID documents and were placed in a temporary detention isolator in Akhaltsikhe, south-west Georgia.

The case has been transferred to the Migration Department for further inquiry.
