Coronavirus: 932 Patients in Acute Condition in Georgia
"3128 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed within the last 24 hours," Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council announced at a press briefing held today at the Government Administration.
He spoke about the most recent statistical data related to COVID-19 in Georgia.
"As of today, 3128 new cases of COVID-19 are confirmed within the last 24 hours. Since the detection of the first case, the total number of infected has reached 111,818.
"3045 individuals have recovered within the last 24 hours, thus making the total number of recoveries 92,215.
"Unfortunately, 39 new fatalities occurred within the last 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, the total death toll is 1051.
"Of the 3128 new cases detected today, geographic coverage of COVID-19 is as follows: 1504 cases have been detected in Tbilisi, 576 - in Adjara, 212 - in Imereti, 129 - in Kvemo Kartli, 101 - in Shida Kartli, 87 - in Guria, 189 - in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 116 - in Kakheti, 105 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 97 - in Samtskhe-Javakheti and 12 - in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
"At present, active cases of COVID-19 have reached 18,526, of which 6192 individuals are being treated at hospitals, of which 2734 are stationed in Tbilisi, 1036 - in Adjara and 1 239 - in Imereti. Currently, acute health conditions are observed in the case of 932 patients, out of which 457 are based in Tbilisi, 154 - in Adjara and 206 - in Imereti. Lung ventilators are used in the case of 413 patients, out of which 203 are stationed in Tbilisi, 108 - in Adjara and 41 - in Imereti. 3 739 individuals are placed at COVID Hotels, out of which 1 146 are based in Tbilisi, 2013 - in Adjara and 262 - in Imereti. 8595 individuals are treated at home.
"2102 individuals are placed in quarantine, out of which 435 are located in Tbilisi, 1 077 - in Adjara and 33 - in Imereti.
"In total, 17,652 individuals have been transported from the sovereign border to quarantine spaces in the period of October 6 through November 23, 2020.
"At present, 53,352 individuals are in self-isolation, out of which 16 938 are based in Tbilisi, 14,779 - in Adjara and 5243 - in Imereti," Sichinava said.
