Georgia Reports 3759 New Cases of Coronavirus, 36 Deaths

In the past 24 hours, 3,759 new infection cases have been confirmed, Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during today's briefing at the Administration of the Government.

He discussed the latest coronavirus statistics.

"Presently, we have 3,759 new confirmed infection cases. Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 139,343 confirmed cases.

"We have 3,574 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 117,560.
Unfortunately, 36 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, we have had a total of 1,303 fatalities.

"Of the 3,759 cases identified today, 1,595 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 623 in Adjara, 392 in Imereti, 139 in Kvemo Kartli, 127 in Shida Kartli, 152 in Guria, 237 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 253 in Kakheti, 126 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 72 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 43 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

"Presently, we have 20,454 active infection cases. 6,366 persons are treated in hospitals, including 2,744 in Tbilisi, 997 in Adjara, and 1,256 in Imereti. We have 1,003 severe cases, including 452 in Tbilisi, 152 in Adjara, and 236 in Imereti, of whom 376 are on a ventilator, including 185 in Tbilisi, 56 in Adjara, and 44 in Imereti.

"3,708 persons are at COVID hotels, including 1,234 in Tbilisi, 1,920 in Adjara, and 266 in Imereti. 10,380 persons are recovering at home.

"We have 1,978 persons in quarantine zones, including 456 in Tbilisi, 1,039 in Adjara, and 35 in Imereti. Since October 6 through November 30, a total of 19,442 persons have been transported from the state border into quarantine zones.

"Presently, 51,282 persons are self-isolating, including 18,787 in Tbilisi, 11,362 in Adjara, and 5,080 in Imereti," Berdia Sichinava said.
