Police Detain 3 Protesters at a Rally Outside the Government House of Adjara

3 protesters were detained on charges of petty hooliganism and disobedience to a lawful request of law enforcers during a rally in front of the Government House of Adjara, where opposition leaders and their supporters continue to express their protest.

The participants of the rally are demanding a meeting with Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, to discuss various social issues, including the damage caused by the newly imposed restrictions aimed at slowing down the spread of the coronavirus. 

A physical confrontation took place between the protesters and the law enforcers near the Government House of Adjara.
