Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus Sends out a Greeting to Georgia
Talking to Imedi news platform, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus sent out a greeting to Georgia. The Director-General of the World Health Organization greeted the people of Georgia while answering a question posed at a traditional press conference.
"This is an exceptional case from Georgia, so thank you, and, first of all, greetings to Georgia. A lot of vaccines are being made, and this makes the light at the end of the tunnel brighter," Ghebreyesus said.
The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus pandemic on March 11, 2020. Earlier, on January 30, WHO declared the coronavirus a global threat. The outbreak of the virus started in China, exactly one year ago.
To date, the world has registered 73,345,294 cases and over 1,6 million deaths.
