Georgia Reports 1731 New Cases of Coronavirus, 39 Deaths

1731 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus were detected in the last 24 hours, Berdia Sichinava, representative of the Interagency Coordination Council, said at the briefing held at the Government Administration.

"As part of 2 months of intensive testing, 9812 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, including 4869 antigen tests and 4943 PCRs.

"As a result, 1731 newly confirmed cases of the infection were identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic is 208,638.

"4599 people have recovered and the total number of recovered persons has increased to 180,441.

"Unfortunately, we have 39 new cases of death. The total number of deaths has reached 2094,” said Berdia Sichinava.
