Georgia Reports 1097 New Cases of Coronavirus, 25 Deaths

As part of the intensive testing, 8,394 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 3,993 antigen testing and 4,401 PCR tests, as a result of which 1,097 new cases of the virus were revealed, reports the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council.

The total number of confirmed cases amounts to 221,605.

In the last 24 hours, 3,208 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 203,547.

Unfortunately, 25 new cases of coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 2,377 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

Of 1,097 new cases of infection detected in the country today, 484 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 81, Imereti - 185, Kvemo Kartli - 84, Shida Kartli - 63, Guria - 26, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 61, Kakheti - 61, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 30, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 17, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 5.
