Electricity Tariff to Increase from January 1

The increased tariff on electricity for the population and commercial sector will be enforced from January 1, 2021. 

The Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) decided to increase the consumer tariff by 3.5 Tetri (including VAT).

The consumer tariff for Telasi subscribers will be as follows: First stage (101 kw/h inclusive) – current tariff 14.544 Tetri, new – 18.041 Tetri; Second stage (101-301 kw/h) – current tariff 18.556 Tetri, new – 22.053 Tetri; Third stage (above 301 kw/h) – current tariff 23.040 Tetri, new tariff 26.537.

The electricity tariff will also increase for the commercial sector by 11 Tetri.

The tariffs will also increase for subscribers of 'Energo Pro Georgia' and will be as follows: First stage (101 kw/h inclusive) - current tariff 14,237 tetri - new tariff 17,731 tetri; Second stage (101-301 kWh) - current tariff 18,213 tetri - new tariff 21,707 tetri; Third stage (above 301 kWh) - current tariff 22.733 tetri - new tariff 26.227 tetri.
