Young Georgian Lolitaz to Perform at Eurovision 2016
Nika Kocharov and the band Young Georgian Lolitaz will represent Georgia at Eurovision in 2016.
Band members include Nika Kocharov on vocals and guitar, Gia Iashvili on vocals and bass, Nick Davitashvili on guitar and keyboard and Dima Oganesian on drums.
Songwriters have already been asked to write a song for the group for Eurovision.
Producer of Eurovision Natia Uznadze said in a statement “Nika Kocharov and the Young Georgian Lolitaz will represent Georgia at Eurovision 2016.
Although all competitors who have experience with this kind of music can write a song for the band to sing at the competition, a shortlist of five songs will be chosen by organizers.”
Eurovision’s two semi-finals will take place on the 10th and 12th of May with the final taking place on May 14th 2016.
It will take place in the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden, following the Swedish victory in last year’s competition in Vienna with “Heroes” performed by Måns Zelmerlöw.
