Coronavirus: Georgia Records 1550 New Cases, 17398 Tests Performed

As part of the intensive testing, 17,398 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 12,166 antigen and 5,232 PCR tests. 

The tests revealed 1,550 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 647 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 249 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 145 cases.

The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 249,465.

In the last 24 hours, 494 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 235,130.

There have been 15 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 2,973 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
