Renowned Georgian Singer Temur Tsiklauri Passes Away

Renowned Georgian singer and actor Temur Tsiklauri has passed away. 

The information was confirmed by the public relations department of the Gori Military Hospital, where he was being treated. 

The 75-year-old singer was diagnosed with coronavirus and was placed in Gori Military Hospital in December. After the condition worsened, he was on mechanical ventilation for almost five weeks.

During his artistic career, he participated in several films, including: 'Light in our Windows' (1968), 'Iveria, Love and…' (1974), 'Young Sister' (1977), and 'Argonauts' (1985). Temur Tsiklauri was the People's Artist of Georgia (1990), Owner of the Order of Honor (1997), and Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi (2010).

On January 23, 2014, the star of Temur Tsiklauri was opened in front of the Tbilisi Grand Concert Hall.
