COVID-related Restrictions to be Maintained over the Weekends

The coronavirus-related restrictions in Georgia will stay in force on weekends despite gradual relaxation on weekdays.

Based on the new decisions made by the Interagency Coordination Council:

From February 8, Municipal transport and public markets and fairs will open.

From February 15, the education process will be resumed to the classrooms in Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Kutaisi, and outdoor catering establishments will be allowed to work.

However, the imposed restrictions will be maintained over the weekends.

"Restrictions will be maintained over the weekends. Further easing of restrictions will happen after February 15th. Everyone should understand that along with easing the restrictions, we should take care to tighten the rules," Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at today's government session.
