Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 583 New Cases, 16605 Tests Performed
Georgia recorded 583 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
Within the scope of intensive testing, 16605 tests have been performed in a span of 24 hours, out of which 9 917 were antigen-based express test method and 6 688- PCR.
Since the detection of the first case, Georgia has had more than 260 480 people infected with the virus.
671 persons have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 251 748.
19 persons have passed away today. The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 3240 people in Georgia.
Out of 583 new cases registered today, 243 were detected in Tbilisi, 34 in Adjara, 98 in Imereti, 46 in Kvemo Kartli, 31 in Shida Kartli, 10 in Guria, 58 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 48 in Kakheti, 2 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 9 in Samtskhe-Javakheti and 4 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
Severe health conditions are currently observed in 529 patients.
14 963 individuals remain in self-isolation.
