Coronavirus: Georgia Records 544 New Cases, 5 Deaths

Georgia reported 544 coronavirus cases, 469 recoveries, and five deaths on Wednesday.

18, 244 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country, among them 11, 615 rapid tests and 6 629 PCRs.

Regarding the infection rate, as of February 10, the daily positive rate is 2.98%, for the last 14 days - 3.64%, and for 7 days - 3.41%.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 226 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 78 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 57 cases.

Out of 544 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 226 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 29, Imereti - 78, Kvemo Kartli - 23, Shida Kartli - 43, Guria - 26, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 57, Kakheti - 38, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 6, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 13, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 5. 

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 263,601, among them 255,385 people recovered and 3,311 died.

Currently, out of 471 critical patients, 133 require mechanical ventilation.
