Fox News Lists Georgia Among 10 Under-The-Radar Destinations for 2016
Fox News released 10 under-the-radar destinations for 2016, and lists Georgia as number 8.
“This former Soviet republic sits at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, along the Black Sea between Russia and Turkey. Georgia has four UNESCO World Heritage sites and offers geographic diversity, from popular beach areas like Batumi to the mountain region of Svaneti,” says the article.
Irina Vishnevskaya, founder of allé travel, is quoted in the article and says, “Georgia has a little bit of everything that is so vital for travelers, especially those seeking unique experiences: amazing, mind-blowing food, great wine traditions, history, beautiful mountain landscape and some of the friendliest, most spirited people in the world”.
Fox News also mentions hotel brands in the country: Marriott, Sheraton and Radisson Blu, and says Le Méridien Hotel will open in 2018 in the Batumi Tower, the city’s tallest building.
