Dairy Product Company Lactalis Enters Georgian Market
French family-owned company Lactalis has entered the Georgian market and became shareholders of Sante, one of the market leaders in terms of milk and dairy product production in Georgia.
Entering the Georgian market will enable the company to take Georgian products onto the international market and thus contribute to the country’s economy.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the company’s participation in Georgian dairy production will be an important signal to international investors.
“It is very good that the company has chosen Georgia as the entry point in the South Caucasus and wants to cover the regional market through Georgia. I would like to congratulate you on this important event,” Prime Minister off Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated.
Lactalis is the third largest dairy group in the world, worth 16.5 Billion Euros in 2014, 75’000 employees and more than 200 factories in 43 countries. The company owns a number of international brands.
