Tbilisi International Airport to Partially Close During Daytime for Runway Repair
Tbilisi International Airport (TAV) will be partially closed for some time during each day from March 1st for approximately four months in order to rennovate the airport’s runway.
Representative of TAV told Georgia Today that there is no plan on TAV's side to reschedule or cancel flights.
During the daytime aircraft will not be able to take off or land at the airport during those four months.
Administration from Tbilisi International Airport has confirmed this information and announced that during March (1st – 26th) the airport will be closed from 9am to 3pm while from March 21st to July 1st it will be shut down from 10:30am to 8pm.
According TAV administration, the air companies have been informed of the renovation works well in advance and will choose themselves whether to alter their flying hours or cancel flights.
