UK Magazine Lists London's Top Georgian Restaurants
LONDON – UK publication Londonist published a list of the four best Georgian restaurants found in London.
“Georgian food is now becoming more available in London. And although it lacks some of the endearing rusticity of that produced and served in the ex-Soviet state, it’s still fantastic: at once curiously familiar and completely new,” says the article.
Londonist's top Georgian restaurants:
Little Georgia, Bethnal Green and Islington
Both branches of Little Georgia serve consistently great food. Georgian pictures and drinking horns adorn the walls.
The Georgian, 27 Balham Hill, SW12 9DX
This charming café opposite Clapham South tube station does a great khachapuri, served in cosy surroundings.
Iberia, 294-296 Caledonian Road, N1 1BA
Iberia serves three regional variations of khachapuri, which gives them mega bonus points (did we mention we like khachapuri?).
Tbilisi, 91 Holloway Road, N7 8LT
A little more meat focused than other Georgian restaurants, and open evenings only.
The article also lists Georgian dishes including Khachapuri, Khinkali, Pkhali, Tkemali, Lobio, Adjika, Pelamushi, Churchkhela and others.
