Tiger Attack Near Laguna Vere

UPDATED. Witnesses have reported seeing a white tiger near Laguna Vere, just down the road from Tbilisi Zoo, and there are reports that one or two people have been attacked. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed that one person who was attacked by the tiger has died. The victim is presumed to be the owner of the warehouse where the tiger was hiding. He was attacked upon entering the building. Police and armed forces are said to be searching the area for the tiger and ask people to return to their homes. We are waiting for an official statement from Zoo authorities who had previously stated that all predators had been accounted for. The Administration refused to answer Georgia Today's questions stating that an official announcement will be made exactly at 17:00.
