Georgia’s President Helped Rescue Pregnant Woman

TBILISI – President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili jumped out of his car to help rescue a pregnant woman stuck in an overturned car on Tuesday, says witness Giga Kitia who posted the story on his Facebook.

The president's press office later confirmed the reports.

Margvelashvili stopped his motorcade and jumped out of the car despite the protests of his security who tried to stop him.

He helped to remove the pregnant woman from the car who was reported to have been unconscious.

“He was trying to make use of a fire extinguisher from his car too. He didn’t even avoid it for safety reasons, because the crash occurred at a gas station by (the car) colliding to a pumping booth,” says Kitia in his post.
