CELA Supports Tbilisi Flood Victims
TBILISI – The Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance (CELA) and Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF) helped collect disaster funds for those affected by a deadly flood that rocked Tbilisi in June 2015.
CELA Georgia decided to donate USD 4,141 to the family of Zurab Muzashvili, a fireman who died while rescuing others during the flood.
Muzashvili saved the lives of seven people before being swept away by the devastating waters. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Civil Devotion by an executive order from the office of President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
CELA Georgia met with Muzashvili 's mother and sister to offer their condolences and thank his family members for his heroism. The family expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the gesture with overwhelming emotions.
CELA is a network of young leaders founded in 2002 by SIBF. The network now counts over 400 members.
The goal of the network is to strengthen the professional and business relationship between Caucasian and Central Asian countries through the creation of a necessary platform for sharing the experiences of successful fellows in the region.
