Georgian Paralympians Take Part in Invictus Games

ORLANDO, US - Georgian veterans wounded during the 2008 Russian-Georgian War and other international military operations took part in a Paralympic volleyball match during the 2016 Invictus Games held in the US city of Orlando. 

The official Web site of the Invictus Games published photos of the Georgian volleyball team together with Britain’s Prince Harry. 

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games as a sporting event for soldiers and veterans injured in various military operations. The games include disciplines such as wheelchair basketball and volleyball.

The first Invictus Games were held in 2014 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
