Drink Like a Georgian Week Kicks Off in New York

NEW YORK - Residents of New York City’s will have a chance to taste the best of Georgia’s viticulture, taste wine and get drunk like Georgians do it.

The weeklong “Drink Like a Georgian” festival will start on May 30 and guests will have a chance to taste Georgian wine until June 4.

Georgian winemakers Ramaz Nikoladze, Niki Antadze, John Wurdeman and John Okro (Okruashvili) will be on hand to present various vintages from their vineyards.

Noted US-born wine writer Alice Feiring will attend the event and take part in a book signing to promote her latest work, "For the Love of Wine". The book tells of her adventures in Georgia as she travelled across the country meeting various winemakers.
