Liza Batiashvili to Play Dedication Concert Tonight

Liza Batiashvili, world-renowned Georgian violinist, is to play for Georgian people with the Evgeni Mikheladze National orchestra at 8pm tonight, June 28, at the Tbilisi Concert Hall. 
Batiashvili's family left Georgia in 1991 and settled in Germany. She was one of the first of the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, from 1999 to 2001, and from 2014-15 was the Artist-in-Residence of the New York Philharmonic and NDR Sinfonieorchester, Hamburg. 
She frequently works with Georgian musicians. 
Tonight's orchestra will be led by Georgian conductor, composer and cultural manager, Nikoloz Rachveli. The concert will be dedicated to victims of the June 13 Tbilisi flood.
As a special bonus, students will be able to enter the concert for just 10 Lari.
