Austria Set to Open Embassy in Georgia

Austria plans to open its embassies in Georgia, Belarus and Moldova before 2018, while closing those in the Baltic countries and Malta,” said Minister for Foreign Affairs of Austria, Sebastian Kurz. The information was spread by Polish Radio.
“We are focussing on those countries which are in strained relations with Russia and I think that the Russian threat is most important for Georgia,” noted Kurz. He also added that it will help the country save 36 million euro. 
The decision was also made due for strategic reasons.
