Georgian Company to Produce Disposable Packaging Products
TBILISI – The Georgian government’s state-funded "Produce in Georgia" initiative added another asset on September 16 with the opening a new disposable packaging plant.
The first facility of its kind in Georgia, its production will focus on the production of high-quality laminated paper for perishable food and beverage products.
The USD 2 million project will be co-financed during the first two years of its operations by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund and produce materials for local company Green Pack, which supplies Georgia’s main supermarkets with laminated products.
The official launch of the facilities was attended by Vice-Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili, Economy and Sustainable Development Deputy Minister Ketevan Bochorishvili and Entrepreneurship Development Agency Director Ani Kvaratskhelia
