Turkmen President to Pay Official Visit to Georgia
The President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, is gearing up for his first time visit to Georgia.
President Berdimuhamedow will arrive in the capital city Tbilisi tomorrow and will spend two days in the country.
During his official visit, Berdimuhamedow will meet with local high officials, including his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Margvelashvili, head of the Georgian Government Irakli Garibashvili, and Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili.
The Georgian President will welcome his Turkmen counterpart in his Presidential Palace in Avlabari district of Tbilisi and after the meeting they will make a joint press conference.
On the second day of the visit, President Berdymukhammedov will be awarded with the title of Honorable Academician.
The President of Turkmenistan will leave Georgia on July 3.
Georgian President Margvelashvili visited Turkmenistan on December 2014. During his visit in Ashgabat, the capital city of the country, Margvelashvili held a meeting with the Turkmen President and signed bilateral agreements that enhanced the two countries’ economic, trade, transport and tourism relations.
