Annual Autumn Festival Tbilisoba Round-Up
TBILISI- This weekend, the streets of Old Tbilisi are hosting a two-day event Tbilisoba- an annual October Festival that aims to celebrate the diversity and history of Georgia's capital city. It was first held on October 28, 1979, and has become an established tradition ever since.
The recently renovated pedestrian part of Aghmashenebeli Avenue “New Tiflis” featured various cultural events, art installations, DJs, pantomime performances, street musicians, and exhibitions of various Georgian designers.
At night, "New Tiflis" filled the territory of Old Tbilisi with both traditional melodies and rhythms from the contemporary music scene. Georgian artists Max Machaidze, Young Georgian Lolitas, and others offered a diverse musical and compositional environment for festival attendees.
Newly Opened café Lolita hosted an art installation/photo exhibition with Tbilisi as the theme.
