Accord Group Opens Hotel Mecure

On June 30 a new 4-star Hotel Mercure was opened in Tbilisi Old Town, at Gorgasali Street No9. The Hotel Mercure is the first and only hotel by Accord Group in Tbilisi.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashhvili, Minister of Economy Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Mayor of Tbilisi Davit Narmania attended to the ceremony alongside investors and representatives of Accord Group.

According to PM Garibashhvili, the company has spent about 16 million USD on the hotel project.

“I would like to say that the investors are currently carrying out a much bigger project in Tbilisi called “Green Budapest”. Nearly 100 million GEL will be spent on the new residential area that will be finished in July 2016. We are extremely pleased that famous brands such as Accord Hotels and Mercure have entered Georgia, because this is an expression of trust toward our country. It also means that tourism is developing in Georgia. Since we came into power, about 100 hotels have been opened throughout the country,” said the Prime Minister.
