Georgian Co-Investment Fund Presents Galleria Tbilisi on MAPIC 2016
By Natia Liparteliani
The heads of the Georgian Co-investment Fund (GCF) and Tbilisi Plaza presented Galleria Tbilisi at the most prestigious large-scale international retail real estate show MAPIC 2016.
Within the frames of the exhibition the heads of Tbilisi Plaza and Galleria Tbilisi held meetings with the retailers interested in Galleria Tbilisi, shopping mall software maintenance companies and experts of digital marketing. They also attended conferences where the representatives of leading international companies presented the latest trends in the retail industry and shared their best practices.
MAPIC 2016 was a success for Galleria Tbilisi, gaining the interest of many companies in the project. The first international brand that the Galleria Tbilisi project brought into Georgia is one of the largest retailer brands in the world: H&M (Hennes & Mauritz), which first heard about the Tbilisi shopping mall at last year’s MAPIC.
Georgian Co-investment Fund and Tbilisi Plaza this year participated in the international real estate show for the second year in a row.
MAPIC (Le marché international professionnel de l’implantation commerciale et de la distribution) is a 3-day international retail real estate show held annually in Cannes, France. The event consists of conference sessions, an exhibition area and networking events to help facilitate retail real estate development.
Galleria Tbilisi is managed through Tbilisi Plaza LLC and is one of Georgian Co-Investment Fund’s projects in the Hospitality and Real Estate sector. The GCF was established in 2013 and is a USD 6 billion private investment fund with the mandate to provide investors with unique access to opportunities in Georgia’s fastest growing industries and sectors through a private equity structure.
