Air Pollution: Highest Rates Revealed in 4 Georgian Cities

Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi and Rustavi have the highest air pollution rates according to a recent study from the National Environment Agency (NEA).  With six cities being monitored in October, the major reason for the high pollution rates are said to be vehicle emissions.

“The highest indicators of nitrogen-dioxide were found in the areas and locations with the larger number of cars, which leaads us to confimr that the air pollution found in those cities is related to auto- transport,” Tamar Bagratia, NEA Head said.
