Prime Minister Reveals Civil Service Training Plans
Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili yesterday announced plans to create a civil servant training center. According to Nino Chelidze, the head of the Center for International Education, the training center and its members will be able to create a successful and strong government in the future.
The center will train around 14,000 people annually and will work closely with schools and academies.
“We are going to share the experience of centers such as the German Federal Academy; Poland also has valuable experience. So, I think this center will be ready by the time the new law takes effect. It is necessary that our public servants be educated in a systematic manner. Of course, this will be reflected in their efficiency," said the Prime Minister.
The PM also remarked that this year the government has been able to send 115 civil servants abroad to improve their qualifications, an initiative which Garibashvili intends to continue in the coming years.
